BCSD

Barnwell County School District has nine schools and one career center. The nine schools include three elementary schools, one elementary-middle school, two middle schools, and three high schools. Hearts are big and opportunities are great in Barnwell County School District!

Our Schools

Elementary Schools

Barnwell County School District has three elementary schools, including Barnwell Primary School (grades PreK through 3), Kelly Edwards Elementary School (grades PreK through 5), and Barnwell Elementary School (grades 4 through 6).

Elementary-Middle School

Barnwell County School District serves elementary and middle school-aged students in one elementary-middle school, Macedonia Elementary/Middle School (grades PreK through 8).

Middle Schools

Barnwell County School District has two middle schools, including Guinyard-Butler Middle School (grades 7 & 8) and Williston-Elko Middle School (grades 6 through 8).

High Schools

Barnwell County School District educates high school students (grades 9 through 12) in three high schools, including Barnwell High School, Blackville-Hilda High School, and Williston-Elko High School.

Career Center

Barnwell County School District has one career center, the Barnwell County Career Center (BCCC). BCCC offers a multitude of career and technical education programs.

District Office

Barnwell County School District's administrative team is lead by Superintendent Crissie Stapleton. Our Board of Trustees have worked tirelessly to transition Barnwell County's two districts into one.  

News & Events

Pre-K Students

Barnwell County School District is excited to announce that two new Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are being added to our list of course offerings for students. Barbering and Early Childhood Education will be offered during the 2024-25 school year. Even though registration for next school year is almost complete, our administrators and counselors are working diligently to share this news with students and parents.
